- ½ cup powdered sugar (plus more for rolling)

- ½ cup finely chopped almonds (optional)
- ½ cup maraschino or glacé cherries, patted dry and chopped
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in almond extract.
- Add flour and salt, stir until combined.
- Fold in cherries and almonds.
- Scoop and roll into 1-inch balls.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.
- Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar, cool, then roll again.
