- 1 ½ cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
- 2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 medium apple, diced
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- Optional: ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven
- Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- Mix dry ingredients
- In a large bowl, combine oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add wet ingredients
- Stir in milk, egg, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Fold in add-ins
- Gently fold in diced apples and chocolate chips (and nuts if using).
- Bake
- Pour mixture into prepared dish and bake 30–35 minutes, until golden and set in the center.
