Description

These Cinnamon Cream Cheese Roll Ups are warm, buttery, and irresistibly sweet with a creamy vanilla-infused filling wrapped inside soft bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar, and baked (or fried) until golden.

For the Cream Cheese Filling

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Roll Ups

  • 1012 slices of white sandwich bread (crusts removed)
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. Make the Filling

  1. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Set aside.

2. Prepare the Bread

  1. Trim crusts off all bread slices.
  2. Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice until thin and flexible.

3. Assemble the Roll Ups

  1. Spread 1–2 teaspoons of cream cheese filling on one end of each slice.
  2. Roll tightly from the filled end to form a cigar shape.
  3. Brush each roll lightly with melted butter.

4. Coat in Cinnamon Sugar

  1. In a shallow bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar.
  2. Roll each buttered roll up in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

5. Bake (Preferred Method)

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place roll ups on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake 10–12 minutes, or until golden and slightly crisp.

Alternative: Pan-Fry Method

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet on medium.
  2. Add a small amount of butter.
  3. Cook roll ups for 1–2 minutes per side, turning until evenly golden.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, bake an additional 2–3 minutes.
  • Flavored cream cheese works great (strawberry, cinnamon, honey).
