Description

These Garlic Parmesan Roasted Shrimp are juicy, flavorful, and incredibly easy—coated in garlic, butter, lemon, herbs, and shredded Parmesan, then roasted in the oven until tender. Perfect as a quick appetizer, protein for salads, or a weeknight dinner served with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.


Ingredients

  • lb (700 g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 56 cloves garlic, minced/grated
  • ½ cup finely grated parmesan, divided
  • Zest of 1 lemon + lemon wedges
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust)
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F / 220°C. Line a sheet pan with parchment/foil.
  • Pat shrimp very dry and place in a mixing bowl.
  • Add olive oil, melted butter, garlic, seasonings, and lemon zest. Toss well.
  • Add most of the parmesan and toss again to coat.
  • Spread shrimp in a single layer on the sheet pan.
  • Roast 6–9 minutes until opaque and just firm.
  • Optional: broil 30–60 seconds for extra color.
  • Finish with lemon juice, parsley, and remaining parmesan. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Do not overcook—shrimp cook quickly.
  • Smoked paprika adds depth; swap for regular paprika if preferred.
