  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked white rice (for serving)

Instructions

  • Cook the beef
    • Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if needed.
  • Add aromatics
    • Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Make the sauce
    • Add soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to coat the beef.
    • Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens and glazes the meat.
  • Finish and serve
    • Stir in green onions and sesame seeds.
