- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Optional Ingredients for Extra Flavor
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil for a nutty aroma
- ½ teaspoon chili flakes for a little heat
- 1 tablespoon lime juice for added brightness
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar for extra tang

Instructions
1️⃣ Season the Salmon
Pat salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
2️⃣ Sear the Salmon
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Place salmon fillets skin-side down.
- Cook for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook another 3–4 minutes.
- Remove salmon and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Pineapple Glaze
- In the same skillet add pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and lime juice.
- Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
4️⃣ Thicken the Sauce
- Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
- Stir into the sauce and cook until the glaze thickens.
5️⃣ Coat the Salmon
Return salmon to the pan and spoon the glaze over the fillets. Cook for 1–2 minutes until coated and glossy.
6️⃣ Serve
Garnish with pineapple chunks, sesame seeds, and green onions and serve warm.
