  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups fresh apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped (toasted for extra flavor)

For the Caramel Glaze

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Batter

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

In a bowl whisk together:

  • Flour
  • Baking soda
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt

2️⃣ Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl combine:

  • Granulated sugar
  • Brown sugar
  • Oil
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla

Mix until smooth.

3️⃣ Combine

  1. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
  2. Fold in diced apples and pecans.

4️⃣ Bake

  1. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  2. Bake for 35–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

5️⃣ Make Caramel Glaze
