- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder (enhances chocolate flavor)
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat & Prepare
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line a loaf pan.
2️⃣ Make the Banana Batter
- In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, sugars, and melted butter.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
- Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
3️⃣ Prepare Cream Cheese Layer
In another bowl, beat:
- Cream cheese
- Sugar
- Egg
- Vanilla
Until smooth and creamy.
4️⃣ Assemble
- Pour half of the chocolate banana batter into the pan.
- Spread cream cheese mixture evenly.
- Top with remaining batter.
- Swirl lightly with a knife.
5️⃣ Bake
Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
